What I've Learned
It's Important that I give my dog affection and rewards throughout her training. Telling your dog 'no' isn't always as beneficial as we might think. They don't generalize well, so it's important to not say no that much, but instead tell them what they should do instead, like saying stay or sit. Training a dog to have new habits will be more difficult for an older dog like mine.- Information from Petfinder
I've learned that training my dog is a lot harder to train than I thought. She doesn't cooperate very well and has a very short attention span.
For the Enlightenment unit I will be learning how to dog train. Below is information about the steps I will be taking, the information I will gather, and videos of the progress I have made with my dog.
